Remove the paper wrapper from the cheese. With a sharp knife, make a 1-inch cross-shaped cut on top of cheese.
Place the cheese, in its box, on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Bake for 6 minutes, or until oozy, checking so the cheese does not burn. The cheese should be warm and tender.
Serve with crusty bread for dunking. If you want a variation, drizzle the top with fresh herbs, finely sliced garlic and a bit of olive oil before baking.
